Tech Careers & Money Talk

The Podcast is officially one year old!

Today, Episode #53 of Tech Equity & Money Talk dropped.

I have to say that it went by fast, and I learned a ton along the way.

Thank you to all listeners and supporters. It has been a fulfilling experience to dig deep into the intersection of career & money, and I am just getting started.

The vision I laid out at the beginning of the year (LINK) still holds.

We are building an Education and Media Company, Tech Careers & Money { }, to be a modern financial education platform specifically for employees of Tech Companies.

How often have you heard someone say," I wish they taught that in school." The comment is usually directed at the challenge of navigating a career or managing money.

It is quickly followed by someone lamenting that their company cannot provide the education they need around tech equity and how to manage it. There is an expansive education gap in the fundamentals of managing a career, the money that comes with it, and its growth.

Tech Careers & Money { } will fill that gap with graduate-level education.

Here is our Mission and Vision:

Mission: Elevating Tech Professionals through unmatched career and personal finance education to equip them to make their best decisions.

Vision: To create the largest community of financially independent tech employees whose impact can help solve the world’s biggest problems

Year 1 of the Podcast saw us produce the podcast and launch the newsletter.

So what is next?

Year 2 will see us produce some new and different content types.

Here are some items we are going to be producing in Year 2.

Educational Videos: This year, I will produce some mid-length (10-20) minute instructional videos that provide succinct education around the four pillars of “From Equity to Exit.” I will also include some on personal development and lifestyle design, as those are the topics I get the most questions about.

Long-Form Articles: On this platform (Beehiiv), I will also publish long-form articles that break down the fundamentals and cover similar topics to the educational video, but in written form.

Courses: This year I will launch the first of my intensive courses to provide concise education that we are not taught in school. Based on feedback, I will start with my Portfolio Operating System ( Portfolio OS) to show people step-by-step how to build and operate an evergreen portfolio.

Community: My vision has always been to bring people together in a curated community to grow careers, build wealth, and live together. Something related to that will happen this year.

Book: My first book is planned to be published this year. It will be the first book to provide a clear plan for trading your time and talent for tech equity.

Yes it is a lot and some of these are stretch goals, however we are going for it!

Thanks for reading and being a part of this journey. Our readers and listeners are very loyal, and we love the feedback.

In the first quarter of the year, we have had a few episodes that people really enjoyed and they have solid listening and viewing stats, here they are in order.

In this episode, I conducted a Case Study interview with Bart Fanelli about how he built his skills from novice to expert and is now building a brand and business from what he learned.

Ritendra Datta came back for a live sit down with me to discuss mentorship and its importance in tech today. Rittendra flipped the script and interviewed me on this one.

If you haven’t checked this one yet, please do as it is power packed with learnings.

This year, people are listening to the deep dives into portfolio construction and management. This conversation with Pascal Wagner was solid as we dove into constructing the portfolio that pays him $265k annually.
